Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

 

As the name suggests, personal protective equipment (PPE) refers to equipment used to act as a protective barrier to the wear's body. In hand hygiene, PPE refers to the use of exam gloves or surgical gloves which protect the clinician from infectious diseases when handling patients.
